Keith Yerger

Teaching Artist at Fallsview Arts

Keith Yerger is a visionary multidisciplinary artist and educator whose creative work spans sculpture, drawing, painting, mixed media, and digital art. With more than two decades of experience teaching and creating, Keith has guided thousands of students — from young children to adults — in discovering their artistic voices and building technical confidence across a wide range of mediums.

A lifelong maker, Keith’s artistic journey was shaped by formal training in visual arts, including studies at Empire State College, where he deepened his understanding of three-dimensional form and fine art principles. Early in his career, he collaborated with professional sculptors and public artists, experiences that enriched both his craftsmanship and his teaching approach.

Keith’s work reflects a boundless curiosity about materials — from traditional media like clay, stone, and wood to upcycled objects, wax, and even digital tools like 3D modeling and animation software. Whether exploring classical forms or inventive mixed-media constructions, his art invites viewers to engage with texture, structure, and creative intuition.

Teaching Philosophy

For Keith, art is more than technique — it’s a lifelong practice that fosters curiosity, resilience, and personal growth. He believes that everyone can access creative expression, and that the process of making art is as valuable as the finished piece.

His instruction is grounded in:

  • Hands-on exploration that builds from basic fundamentals to individualized expression

  • Material fluency — encouraging students to learn through doing and experimenting

  • Adaptive teaching tailored to each student’s age, skill level, and creative goals

  • Inclusive learning environments where curiosity and confidence grow together

Keith offers both virtual and in-person instruction, bringing artistic exploration to homes, classrooms, and group settings throughout the Hudson Valley and Greater NYC region.
