What types of art classes does Fallsview Arts offer?
Fallsview Arts offers painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed-media classes for all skill levels, from traditional figurative work to modern and abstract styles. Classes are held at our studio on the Westchester–Putnam border in Brewster, NY.
What painting and drawing mediums do you teach?
We teach oil painting, water-based acrylics, watercolor, pastel, gouache, ink, charcoal, and pencil. Instruction is tailored to each medium's technique, from color mixing to shading and composition.
Do I need prior art experience to take a class?
No prior experience is required. Many of our programs are designed specifically for absolute beginners, and instruction is adjusted to each student's skill level.
What ages do your art classes serve?
Fallsview Arts currently serves adults and teens in grades 6–12. Visit our Teen Art Classes page for details, and contact us if you're interested in future youth programming.
Are art materials included in class?
It depends on the class. Some sessions include materials, while others require students to bring their own supplies. Contact us for a supply list specific to your class.
Do you offer one-day art workshops?

How much do art classes cost at Fallsview Arts?
Pricing varies by class, medium, and session length. Current pricing for each class is listed on our Calendar, or you can contact us for details.
How long do class sessions run?
Weekly art classes typically run 6 to 9 weeks per session, unless the class is listed as a one-day workshop or short series.
Do you offer workshops?
Yes, we also offer one-day workshops and multi-day mini sessions.
What is the current class session and schedule?

What is your class size?
Class sizes at Fallsview Arts are kept small, typically around 8 students, to allow for individualized instruction. Exact capacity may vary depending on the class or workshop.
Policies
What is the missed-class and make-up policy?
Students who miss a class may attend a make-up session in a similar class if space is available, and should contact their instructor beforehand to arrange it. Make-up classes must be used within the current session, and refunds are not given for missed classes, workshops, or events. Read the full policy.
Do you offer refunds on art classes?
Refund requests must be submitted in writing at least 30 days before the class start date, unless your spot is filled from the waitlist. Refunds are not issued for unattended classes, workshops, events, or missed make-up sessions.
