Students experiment with a variety of sculptural materials and techniques—such as clay modeling, basic armature building, relief work, and mixed-media construction—while developing problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Instruction is adaptable to each student’s age, experience level, and interests, allowing everyone to work at their own pace while gaining a strong foundation in 3D art.

Studio Sculpture for Teens and Adults
This studio-based sculpture class invites teens and adults to explore three-dimensional form through hands-on making and guided instruction. Working primarily in clay and mixed media, students develop an understanding of structure, proportion, balance, and expressive form while building both technical skills and creative confidence.
Projects are tailored to individual experience levels, allowing beginners to learn foundational sculptural concepts while more advanced students pursue personal directions. Emphasis is placed on learning by doing within a supportive studio environment, with ongoing feedback and room for experimentation. Seasonal materials or approaches—such as stone carving or expanded mixed-media processes—may be introduced as part of the curriculum.
